02.21.03:
Last Night there was a horrible tragedy at
The Station in West Warwick, RI.
Pyrotechnics used during the show started a blaze that engulfed the club in
minutes. It pains me to say that 97 people lost their lives and over 150 more
were injured. Our hearts go out to the victims of the blaze and the families of
those who lost their lives.
This, and the event in Chicago, were tragedies that could have been diminished
quickly, with the use of safety measures and contingency plans. I hope all the
clubs in RI, and the nation as well look to them for inspiration to better provide
safety measures for the people that pay for entertainment and provide a market
for clubs, bars, and bands like us.
What can we do to help?
Give Blood, Give Plasma!
Blood is important for the treatmeant of wounds and shock. Plasma is very
instrumental in making treatments for burns.
Funds for the victims and their families have already been set up by
The Arch Diocese of Providence and the Red Cross.
